Below you will find the Parents' Page of our district's Symbaloo (a tool to save and share internet resources). If you hover your mouse over the highlighted areas, the system will let you know what that collection is about.  Among others, we have shared some PARCC, Online Safety, and keyboarding resources.   Enjoy!

All resources are intended for educational purposes only.  Parental supervision is always recommended whenever students are on the internet.  When online, there is always potential for a child to access links that may lead to inappropriate content.   Each and every site was checked before being included in this collection, but we have no control over sponsors, for example, who may have advertisements on the side of a page.  If any inappropriate content is discovered directly through this resource, please let Kristy Weaver know immediately (908) 352-7664 x6709 or via email at kweaver@hillsidek12.org. PARENT PORTAL/REPORT CARD 

Welcome to the Hillside Public School’s Genesis Parent Portal

The Gradebook module in the parent portal is now available.  Gradebook gives parents real-time access to view their child's class assignment grades. The web site, parents.hillsidek12.org, will provide you with the information you need to access  your child's attendance and academic records. Information will continually be updated. In order to create user accounts and passwords, you must email:

  • your first and last name
  • your child/ren’s names
  • your email address

Please email this information to your child's school secretary.  Upon receipt of your information, you will electronically receive instructions to set up an account.
 

You will receive an email from Genesis Mail.

into your web browser or simply go to the "parents" tab on the district website and click Parent Portal. Your user name is your email address and the e-mail you received will have a temporary password.The first time you log on to Parent Portal you will be prompted to change your password to something you can remember easily.

 

Report Cards will no longer be mailed. If you do not have internet access, contact your child’s school.  Arrangements will be made for you to receive a hard copy of the report card.  Any questions or concerns please call the main office.
